Measure of Time by Lucinda Barnes; essays by Jacquelynn Baas, Karen L. Bennett, Bill Berkson, Linda Dalrymple Henderson, Maria Porges, and Lawrence R. Rinder

One of the first exhibitions to broadly integrate BAM/PFA’s collections of art, film, and digital media, Measure of Time explored how artists have worked with time, and its related tendencies, motion and duration. Works ranged from Joseph Stella’s Battle of Lights, Coney Island (1915–18) to Shirley Shor’s real-time projection Landslide (2004). This beautiful volume features fully illustrated catalog entries for thirty-six works in the BAM collection.
