| Storm Boy Directed by Henry Safran | |
Recommended for age 10 and older. In a remote part of Southern Australia, a boy learns about life from an adopted pelican, an Aborigine friend and his widowed father. Structured so as to draw the viewer into the lives of characters whose hard but idyllic life is threatened by nature and by outside intruders, Storm Boy has been called by Variety "a gem of a film. Modestly and carefully made, it is a skillful adaptation of a kid's book (by Colin Thiele) well known Down Under."
• Directed by Henry Safran. (Australia, 1976, 90 mins, Color, Print from Learning Corp. of America)
