The Associated Students of the University of California (ASUC) Art Studio
Classes and workshops in the Student Union on campus provide students
and other members of the community an opportunity to develop and refine
skills in the visual arts and creative writing.
Center for New Music and Audio Technologies (CNMAT)
An interdisciplinary research center and performance venue tucked away in
the foothills just north of campus, CNMAT draws participants from many university
departments including physics, mathematics, electrical engineering,psychology,
computer science, cognitive science and music. CNMAT is the place to go to
witness cutting-edge innovations at the intersection of music and computer technology.
Holloway Poetry Series
Ten to twelve poetry readings per academic year sponsored by the English department
featuring a graduate student poet and a prominent visiting poet.
Lunch Poems
Under the direction of English professor and former U.S. Poet Laureate Robert Hass,
this series presents a free noontime poetry reading on the first Thursday of each month
in the Morrison Reading Room in Doe Library.
SUPERB Productions
A student entertainment organization presenting a variety of free and low-cost events,
including frequent outdoor concerts by local and touring bands on Lower Sproul Plaza.
UC Choral Ensembles
Includes UC Men's Octet, California Golden Overtones, UC Men's Chorale, UC Women's
Chorale, Cal Jazz Choir, UC Alumni Chorus, Perfect Fifth, and BareStage Productions
