Proposing Exhibitions to the Berkeley Art Museum

To propose an art exhibition to the museum, please send a letter or e-mail to:

Proposals should include all pertinent information:

- Statement about the work under consideration
- Curriculum Vitae (resume) for each artist and/or curator involved in the process
- Photos, slides, transparencies, or digital images of the artworks
- Telephone number and/or email address
- Self-addressed stamped envelope for return of material

All proposals are reviewed by the curatorial department and museum director. If determined desirable for the museum, proposals are then presented at a meeting of selected museum staff, where final decisions are made. Artists and institutions can expect to hear from the committee within 6-8 weeks of receipt of their submission.

Film and video exhibition proposals should be submitted in writing to:
